Sharron L. Swann

Sharron’s practice is focused on corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters relating to the operation and creation of various physician and other health care provider entities, independent diagnostic testing facilities, radiation cancer centers, hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. Sharron combines her knowledge of healthcare law with her years of hospital financial management experience in representing her clients.

Areas of practice
-  Interpreting and analyzing compliance with federal and state anti-fraud and abuse
statutes and applicable regulations, and the Stark statute and regulations.
-  Interpreting reimbursement issues, including Medicare and Medicaid rules and
regulations related to physician and other health care providers, including provider applications.
-  Consultation and drafting of a variety of productivity-based compensation formulas for
 physician groups and other organizations.
-  Organizing and structuring ancillary service arrangements, in physician practices and in
stand-alone centers, including imaging centers, laboratories, radiation cancer centers, physical therapy services, and sleep labs.
-  Design and implementation of compliance plans, including assisting in risk analysis,
providing required education of health care laws and regulations, and developing policies and procedures.
-  Advising and assisting in privileged internal client investigations for compliance with
various healthcare statutes, regulations and Medicare/Medicaid billing requirements.
-  Transactions relating to the creation, merger, and acquisition of various physician and
other provider organizations, including Texas Medical Board certification as non-profit health care organizations, joint ventures, and management organizations; Texas regulatory requirements and various management and corporate organizational issues.
